A hand is raised for a comment during the discussion on public-private health partnerships, with a focus on Montserrado County. Monrovia, home to approximately 1/3 of Liberia’s population, is located in Montserrado County, and is where most of the country’s private clinics are also found.
It was an especially interesting experience for me to attend this discussion, since I had just taken a course on private health systems in developing countries last semester with Prof. Ndola Prata at UC Berkeley. It was the first time I’d been able to apply what I learned from the class to real life.
