Erica and Sasha go to the National Health Conference! At the national soccer stadium, named after Samuel Doe, leader of a military coup and former president (warlord?) of Liberia, no less.
DESCRIPTION
Welcome/Bienvenue/Ibissimila!
My name is Erica. I am a Public Health and City Planning Master's student at UC Berkeley. I am interested in urban health issues in developing communities, particularly those in West Africa.
I'm currently in Monrovia, Liberia as a fellow with the Council of World Women Leaders (www.cwwl.org), completing an internship at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. I am assisting with the coordination of the country's first ever national health plan and the corresponding two-year county health plans. I will also attend the national health conference in July, and later, will help design a national health facility infrastructure survey. In between, I seek ways to explore this beautiful country and culture, and have fun with people I've met along the way.
Enjoy, browse around, and please don't forget to visit the website of the organization I work with in Mali - www.malihealth.org
